Schellbruch In Grayscale

I didn’t like how the image above turned out, because the photo looked very bleached and I changed it to grayscale to make it look better. The image had so much whites and it was even hard to fix it with Lightroom. Sometimes, when images are too white, with too much reflections or if the image is somewhat overexposed or if it looks too bleached, changing it to grayscale or black and white might be an option. I think the result is acceptable anyhow. I shot the photo at the Schellbruch, I haven’t uploaded all the images from there yet. Continue reading Schellbruch In Grayscale

Very Beautiful Sunflower

I walked through the garden with my mother on the weekend. She still likes to take pictures with her smartphone, although I let her practise with my DSLR too. We did for example take photos or portraits of each other, she likes to play with my camera too, and it’s good because I get photos of myself too on that way. I found the sunflower you can see in my photo and had to take a picture. … Continue reading Very Beautiful Sunflower

Beautiful Plant In The Forest

I saw the plant above in a small forest during my hike through the Schellbruch. I am not sure what kind of wild plant it is, I just thought it is a very beautiful plant. Apart from the plant, I do also like the depth of field and bokeh in the photo, I really like the result. Although it’s not working in every situation with my Nikon 18-105mm kit lens, I am happy that I learned how to get this kind of effect in some situations. If there is enough distance between the main subject and the stuff in the … Continue reading Beautiful Plant In The Forest

Bumblebee At Work

It’s not a long time ago when I uploaded a photo of a bumblebee, but we have plenty of flowers in the garden and therefore also enough bumblebees and other insects.  I like to watch them, I also like to take photos of them. The Nikon 18-105mm lens is not really made for macro photography, but the more I use the lens, the more I get at least some kind of close-up shots, not exactly macro shots but still interesting photos I think.
