Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves

I think flowers have curves as well and this is why I want to participate with a flower photo in the Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves. I found this flower on the balcony of my mother and the flower was in front of a white solar protection wall, which was great because layering effects work too great then. I took the Photo with the camera of the Sony Xperia P Smartphone. I didn´t want to make rocket science with Photoshop and edited the image pretty fast with the smart phone app called pixlr-o-matic. It is an easy app and you can … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves

Beautiful Flower found on Grandma´s Campground

I found this beautiful pink flower on grandma´s campground. I loved the colour and the shape of the flower and had to take photos. I increased the contrast of the image a lot with Photoshop when I came home from our trip to the nature. I also made a lens correction and added a vignette effect. Now I do think the images are looking nice. Photos are taken with a Sony Xperia P Smartphone Camera. What do you think about the images? Also I would like to ask if anybody knows the name of this flower? More flower photos available … Continue reading Beautiful Flower found on Grandma´s Campground

Preparing the Rubber Raft

As said in Mom´s Birthday Blog Post, we planed a trip in the nature on the weekend. Mom´s Birthday

Looking at the clock, I notice it is midnight now. But I visited my mother yesterday, I mean some hours ago, because of her birthday. We both visited some shops later and I said she can choose a gift in any of the shops. She decided for clothes and a perfume. Then we went to her home and talked a little bit. Her husband had to work and she had no other visits because she planed to visit the family on the camp ground next Saturday, we all will make a barbecue. I wrote often about the camp ground and … Continue reading Mom´s Birthday

Aquarium fishes introduced: Boraras brigittae

My favorite fish for fishkeeping is the Mosquito Rasbora. This is a gorgeous little fish. You can see them in my fish tank in the video above, swimming near the water surface, seeking for food and enjoying the flow of water near my self-build filter and pump. The Moskito Rasbora is also called Boraras brigittae (scientific name). This is a pretty tiny fish (1-3 cm depending on their age) and great for smaller fish tanks. The fish tank in the video above for example contains just 60 liters of water. I have round about 15 Mosquito Rasbora´s in my fish … Continue reading Aquarium fishes introduced: Boraras brigittae

A Photo of two Sand Lizards and further Informations

My little young cousin did catch two Sand Lizards for a short photoshoot in Salem (in North Germany). It´s one older and one younger Sand Lizard. Indeed… she did release both to the nature after taking the photos because the Sand Lizards are threatened due to the continuing endangerment of their habitats which I will explain further in this article here. But my little cousin reminds me to my own childhood. She is always on the campground in Salem with grandma and grandpa. There is a lot of nature and she´s just discovering that all in her young years like … Continue reading A Photo of two Sand Lizards and further Informations
