Hike Into The May

As I’ve been mainly in the city Lübeck the last two weeks, it was cool to see how things have grown in the nature of Reinfeld now that I am back for some weeks. Today was the first May, and I thought a hike into the May would be a nice idea. Look at the beautiful bushes in the photo, and all the blossom. I heard a loud hum from the bush, a collective noise caused by all the hard-working bees. Apart from that, May smells good, but since it gets warmer, I shouldn’t forget something to drink on my … Continue reading Hike Into The May

A Black Dog Photo

Here is a photo of a dog I met yesterday during my hike.  First I thought the dog would be lonely, but the dog owners were just 30 meters away and followed up. The dog seemed to know the path, and enjoyed to show the owners the way. Also it was funny to see how the dog did carry the stick on his path. You can get some interesting photos with a 300mm lens, because you have enough distance to take photos in all kind of situations without interfering too much. I still like to take photos with my other … Continue reading A Black Dog Photo

Winter Hike

Here is a photo I shot during my winter hikes in Reinfeld. I did hike so much there that I am actually not sure if there is still a path where I didn’t walk. I often use Google Maps to check out where I could go hike, but I have seen a lot around the town, I hiked in all directions. The result is that I have tons of photos, that I probably never will finish to upload, but this is not too bad. Sometimes the weather is so bad that you don’t go out to shoot new ones, if … Continue reading Winter Hike

Forestry In Northern Germany

Sometimes when I go hiking here in Reinfeld, I see the result of the local forestry logging. Sometimes I find those big paths of the heavy equipment, and the logs on the side. Even if there is logging, I often still see animals in those forest areas. Here in the north we have mainly small forest areas, not so big like the forest areas in Thuringia or Bavaria. But it’s still interesting to hike through smaller forests, and it can take you time too depending on the size, but usually it takes no more than 30 minutes or 1 hour … Continue reading Forestry In Northern Germany

Forest Path

Going through a forest is something very relaxing. Hearing nothing else than the branches and the wood in the wind, hearing the crows and many other birds and animals, that is absolutely enjoyable. I shot the photo above early in the morning when I was wandering around a pond. The trail led me through a forest on the other side of the pond.  If you take the trails where I am right now, you get a mixed view of fields, waters and forests. I am surprised how many birds there are, especially many little ones, but I had no luck … Continue reading Forest Path

Hike Through The Fog

I like the paths you can find in Reinfeld, but as mentioned, walking there is even more interesting when it’s misty, because it’s mysterious. Some people might dislike the wet air and would stay at home when it’s misty, but I do really love to go out, and then you can enjoy it all alone. I did maybe see three people there in one hour, one jogger, and two womans with their dogs, some people just like it, others not. We do sometimes have fog in the morning, but it doesn’t happen too often that there is fog all day … Continue reading Hike Through The Fog
