Black Cat

At the moment we have just rainy days most of the time, but last week we had some good days. I was hiking last week when I noticed this black cat on the other side of the street, and I shot a photo. I mainly have photos of my cat Shyna in my cat photo category on this blog, and I am always happy if I can take photos of other cats at times. The black cat in my photo looks almost a bit grumpy, maybe the cat didn’t like that I was stalking with the camera. Anyway, I like … Continue reading Black Cat

Euro 2016: Germany vs. Italy 6:5 On Penalties

I watched the Euro 2016 match Germany vs. Italy today. It was a bit suspense packed because Italy is a much stronger opponent for Germany. In the first half Germany got ball possession most of the time but there were not a lot of dangerous moment from both teams. The second half became a little bit more interesting, it was a back and forth for a while but then in minute 65 Mario Gomez passed the ball from the left to Mesut Özil, he stand 6 meters away from the goalkeeper and shoot the goal for Germany. Minute 77, Jérôme … Continue reading Euro 2016: Germany vs. Italy 6:5 On Penalties

About Kit Lenses And A Swan Close-Up Photo

I found this swan photo while I browsed through my Lightroom catalog. I shot the photo by the end of the last year when I only owned the Nikon 18-105mmm kit lens and when I was starting out with DSLR photography. The photo was taken at 105mm but the swan was close to the waterside. I like this close-up shot, I just cropped the image slightly and sharpened the image a bit. Even if it’s not my only lens anymore, I won’t forget how the Nikon 18-105mm helped me to learn about my camera and what focal lengths actually mean … Continue reading About Kit Lenses And A Swan Close-Up Photo

Weekly Photo Challenge: Opposites

I thought I participate in the recent WordPress Photo Challenge with the motto Opposites, because my photo of Emmi and Charlie should fit. Both of them are dogs in the family, and I uploaded a very similar photo not a long time ago, it was the same shooting. I would call the photo in this post a snapshot, a term that I usually use for my photos when I just did press the shutter button to see how the photo turns out. But the thing is, with animals, you can just mindless click the shutter button, subjects like dogs or … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Opposites

Wet Horse

As mentioned in this post, I thought I should upload more horse photos to my blog, and I have shot quite a lot that I want to upload over time. The photo in this post was taken in Reinfeld, since this is a countryside it was easy to find horses everywhere. The photo was shot after it rained, that’s why the ground and the fur is so wet, but it makes the fur look interesting in my opinion. I hope you like the image, if so, check out my other photos. Swan Photo

Not sure when and where I shot the photo above, but I like it and wanted to upload it to my swan category. I think the water in the background is a bit distracting, sometimes water looks good in photos and sometimes not, and I think it depends on the daylight. It could also be about the angle, there is too much water visible in the photo, I think the photo would look better with a horizon (at eye level), for example with plants in the background and a bokeh. Anyway, the swan is still visible and I think the … Continue reading Swan Photo
