Cucumber Salad

It’s no big news that I love all kinds of salads. I don’t just like to eat them, I also like to photograph them. I like how salad bowls with different colors look on different surfaces, like different tables or different wood surfaces. But of course, it’s mainly about the salads because they look fresh and make great food photographs. The photo in this post was shot in my mother’s garden. She prepared cucumber salad for us all, and I saw the dark brown bench and thought i t would be a perfect background for the salad bowl. I like … Continue reading Cucumber Salad

The Problem, It’s Way Too Tasty

I said this very often on my blog, I absolutely love to eat salads. But I recently developed a really bad habit. I am buying a salad almost every day. You might think “Wait, but isn’t eating vitamins on a daily basis very healthy?” and you’re right. But it’s not so much about the fact that I eat salad every day, it’s more about the problem that I get it from the salad bar in my favorite super market. Before I mention the problem, let me talk about the advantages first… The thing is, they have so many ingredients in … Continue reading The Problem, It’s Way Too Tasty

Staying Fit

Mixed salad, mixed post. Yeah, it’s great to have two reasons to create a blog post. First reason was that I found the image above in my library and I like the way how I cropped it. The photo was shot in 2015 and it seems I never used it because the salad bowl was not completely in the frame. Now I cropped it on a way that I like the composition more. Next reason for this post is that I wanted to talk a bit about my running activity. To be honest, I didn’t run over the winter, mainly … Continue reading Staying Fit

Tasty Bulgur Salad

I like to eat some Turkish and Arabic meals and side dishes. I do for example like Bulgur salad. I have a Turkish fruit dealer around the corner and I know this family since a very long time. Years ago when I bought fruits, she suggested me to try her Turkish Bulgur salad. I said that it would look like Cous Cous and that I really love Cous Cous, but she replied that it would be similar, just still not the same. I got a small box filled with Bulgur for free, including the suggestion to put it on lettuce … Continue reading Tasty Bulgur Salad

Salad Time

You can probably find a lot of posts on my blog where I praise salads, but well, here we go again. I am a real fan of salads with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and so on. Grandma did it already, my mother too, and even I as a kitchen noob can do it because it’s just like slicing and throwing the ingredients into a big bowl (laugh). A few days ago, me and my mother were hungry but it was very sunny and warm when we sat at her balcony and we decided to eat salad. As always, this was also … Continue reading Salad Time
