Today We Had A Heavy And Destructive Thunderstorm in Northern Germany

We had real heavy storm in Northern Germany today. I thought the storm was heavy in our federal state Schleswig-Holstein but then I saw the news about the neighboring federal state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, there was total destruction in some towns. We had more luck in Schleswig-Holstein, but it was very unusual and scary anyway. They said in the news that it was a tropical thunderstorm. Excursion to the Domsee in Ratzeburg

We had a ride yesterday and visited some places in our federal state Schleswig-Holstein. On our tour we also drove to the village called Ratzeburg. This is a small town but surrounded by much nature including several lakes. On the photo above you can see a smaller lake that is called Domsee. You see a small cathedral in the background that is probably the reason why the lake is called “Domsee”, because “Dom” is German and means something like “Church” or “Cathedral” and the ending “see” means “sea” or “lake”. My friends and me live in Lübeck as I often wrote. Today was one of the hot summer days and it was so hot in my apartment. The apartment was totally warmed up and I thought it might be hot outside too but there will be more air than in my apartment. Walking through Lübeck with my Mother…

Today my mother and me decided to wander through the town center of Lübeck. Most shops are usually closed on sunday but today was sunday opening. We visited several shops. But we went deeper and deeper into the city. We also did eat in the city. I wrote already often here on the blog that the historic downtown of Lübeck is very beautiful. We had a great Day in Mölln and I took Tons of new Photos which I will show you in the Future

Today we decided spontaneous to drive from Lübeck to Mölln in Germany. Mölln is a smaller Town southward of Lübeck or let me say south-eastern of our North German Federal State called Schleswig-Holstein. It´s a small Town with round about 20.000 Citizen but the Area there has still a lot to offer. It´s in fact a popular Tourist Destination.
