About The Blog Smilies…

WordPress.com users and bloggers can use smilies in articles but also in the comment section of a blog. I like that pretty much because it adds some emotions and fun to a discussion. But I wish it would be possible that we bloggers could replace them with our own images. That would allow us to create own sets of smilies for our blogs. It wouldn´t be anything else than replacing the smilies with different images in the settings and that makes me wonder why we still don´t have this option. This would be a small but nice new feature and … Continue reading About The Blog Smilies…

New Email For Your WordPress.com Blog

I always wondered if it is possible to get an own email address for the domain purchased via WordPress.com as my blog is hosted there and as I bought my domain there too. I tweaked some things for my blog last days and that means I went through the whole dashboard of WordPress. While I do think that I am already a little bit experienced, it´s funny that I always find new stuff. Today I found out that it is possible to forward emails with wordpress.com and that means that you can set up email addresses that contain the custom … Continue reading New Email For Your WordPress.com Blog

Spam comments and how you can avoid to let them come through

It is not much work to teach Akismet that it is a … Continue reading Spam comments and how you can avoid to let them come through

Following and Reading Small and Popular Blogs. Separation is better…

So, today I discovered the RSS Reader, Feed Reader or News aggregator called Feedly. After testing Feedly I must say that it is really a good tool for syndication of web content. In my opinion it has a really great usability on both platforms… desktop via browser or on mobile devices via application. I used the same google account (there are also different methods) on both platforms. It´s really awesome if you can add feeds when you are on your desktop PC and if you notice the changes will also count for your mobile device. I can add feeds and … Continue reading Following and Reading Small and Popular Blogs. Separation is better…
