I just registered for the Sim City 5 Closed Beta which will be hold on January 25th til January 28th. I participated in many closed and open betas for several games. I am nosy if I have luck this time too. I like testing beta games and love it to have early access. So I wait for an email right now but nothing arrived yet.
I really did love the old Sim City games however I dont expect a top game at the moment. EA must show first that they really did create a good and complex simulation. In my opinion they did release tons of low quality games over the last few years. But well, let´s stop here because this is my subjective opinion and my demands are set pretty high anyway as I am a gamer since more then two decades and I have seen the up and downs of the gaming industry and tons of games.
So apart from helping them to test the game if I get an invite, I do indeed test the game to see if it is something worth do buy or not. The release date of Sim City 5 is set to March 7th 2013. I really dont expect to much but who knows. I am just nosy because they said there will be a multiplayer mode in the game which might be funny if the whole game is cool.

So for now I wait if I get the beta invite via email.
I’ve also signed up for the beta. I’m really excited about it and I think it’s going to be a positive suprise. At least I hope. Do you know whether we’ll be able to play the full game or just a portion of it?
I am excited too and hope for a positive suprise too. Sim City was always fun and I would be happy if the new Sim City will be a good and complex game with many many hours fun.
In case we get the invite to the beta, I am not sure. I participated to many beta test´s, however all betas of differend publishers I participated in were pretty differend.
I think they will let us test what they have so far. I dont think it will be just a portion of a game. But I am not sure if we can check out the multiplayer yet. The last EA beta I participated in was the Battlefield 3 beta in multiplayer and all multiplayer features were accessible apart from the co-op mode. But they did let us test just two maps. But with all weapons and features as said.
I am not sure how they could split up the Sim City beta. I guess we will see pretty much what they have so far in the game and not just a portion. 🙂
Let´s hope this will be a hell a fun so that it is worthwhile to buy the game when the release in march comes. 🙂
