The recent WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge wants us to point our cameras at something familiar to turn it into something else, right, it’s about abstract photography. While I didn’t take an abstract photo recently, I thought I go through my Lightroom library to see if I can participate with any photo I have taken in the past, and I knew I would find a dozen of abstract photos. Sometimes I really try to shoot an abstract scene, but at times I do also get abstract photos due to any errors, like the wrong camera settings. focussing wrong, pressing the shutter button in the wrong moment and so on. I want to show you one photo where I failed to focus the subject, but the result was so cool that I didn’t want to delete the image, it’s an abstract photo of a Christmas glitter ball…
I love the colors, especially because purple is my favorite.
I am glad the photo hits your taste due to the colors 🙂
That is very cool – I love it! None of my non-focused photos turn out that good!
Also not all of mine, but sometimes there are some surprises on the SD card 🙂
I also love the purple – and this reminds me of a fancy art piece
I am glad you like it too 🙂
I think we all take some abstract stuff. I know I get bedazzzled by light, especially by reflections and glittery things. The purple light is lovely 🙂
For some reason I like to take unfocussed pictures of lights, because the results are often pretty interesting. It’s funny that I learned this by mistake once, when I focussed badly. 🙂
It is a nice color but what is it?
As written in the blogpost, a Christmas glitter ball 😉
I saw this photo today by chance. I don’t know why, but i like it a lot! 🙂
That was basically me pressing the shutter button before focussing (laugh). I decided it is a keeper because I liked how my error turned out. I find it sometimes interesting how things look if focus is totally off… cool abstract photos can be created on that way 😀
Good to know. I think i will less set a focus in the future. 😉
