Weekly Photo Challenge: Tiny

The recent WordPress Photo Challenge is about tiny things. I thought that I use the challenge to show you a butterfly photo that I shot a while ago. I would really like to try this with a real macro lens, but for now I usually had to use my Nikon 18-105mm lens or my Tamron 70-300mm. In this case I shot the photo at 300mm with my tele zoom lens. I’d call that pseudo macro photography. Fun fact, I could basically afford a true 90mm or 100mm macro lens next month, I am just not sure if I should do … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Tiny

Lübeck In The Evening

Ok, I finally did it. Today I wondered again why I purchases a quite decent tripod back then, when I never really used it. I got headache inside because of the heating air in my apartment, the best way to get ill, and thought it would be better to get out there to take a deep breath of fresh autumn air. I just didn’t know what I could do outside, and as said, my tripod came into my mind. I thought I should finally go out there to try night photography with my tripod. It was a bit wet outside, … Continue reading Lübeck In The Evening

Wound Healing Equipment For The Cat

Two weeks ago I had to visit the vet because I noticed that my cat Shyna had several smaller crusty wounds on the back. I maybe wouldn’t even have noticed it, the only reason why I noticed it was that there was also no fur. I was afraid she could have flees, biting lice or mites. I got the idea because my mother and her husband have a chicken coop in the garden that I entered a few times the week before. The evening when I noticed her problem, I researched on Google and thought it could also be an … Continue reading Wound Healing Equipment For The Cat

Unexpected Snow

It’s that time again where a macro lens would make a lot of sense. However, I don’t own one yet, and I was outside today with my 18-105mm lens. Today when I woke up and when I watched out of the window, I didn’t expect to see snow. Why do I say this? Maybe because the year felt different, we didn’t have the hottest summer, but autumn didn’t start extremely cold either. My birthday was by the end of October, and it was strange because the temperature was still moderate. The October was pretty different. You can agree with the … Continue reading Unexpected Snow

Old Door In Black And White

As you might have noticed, I am currently a bit slower with the publishing on my blog. It’s autumn, a good time to get the hands on some computer games. But in the meantime I wanted to show you a photo again. I shot this photo of the old door a while back, I didn’t like how the colours turned out, but I liked the photo after I converted it to black and white. The photo is a nice expansion to my abandoned category. I do really like old materials that suffered, I like the texture of these materials. Continue reading Old Door In Black And White
