Beautiful Path

Some of you know that I like to take photos of paths. The subject is not special, because you just take the photo on the way you go, but what I like is that there are tons of different possibilities how paths can look like. I don’t take these photos randomly, I take them when I think “I find it beautiful where I stand right now”. These photos also remind me of special hikes that I did. In fact when I look at the picture in this post, it reminds me of the sound of birds, the smell of meadows … Continue reading Beautiful Path

This Photo Is $117 Worth And Here Is Why…

The photo above is not that great, because obviously I missed the dog. But the photo reminds me of a funny moment. When I hiked, there was this guy with a brown dog and he threw a stick into the water and his dog jumped into the water to bring it back. Meanwhile, I was standing on a footbridge and thought I could take a photo of the action. But before I took the shot, the owner of the dog yelled “You know that you owe me 100 Euro if you take the photo?”. While this guy seemed to make … Continue reading This Photo Is $117 Worth And Here Is Why…

Balance

When I hiked along the beach between Travemünde and Timmendorf, I saw that many people had put stones over stones. I think it is called stone stacking. I’ve seen this somewhere while I browsed YouTube, but now this trend arrived here too. It’s maybe a good way to test your patience, but I also saw a video of a ranger in Australia, who said that this would be dangerous for certain animals. Parts of our coast are full of these stacked stones, I mean I saw hundreds of these stacked stones. Not sure what is so trendy about it. Continue reading Balance

Common Blackbird

Not much to say about the photo above, apart from the fact that it is a Common Blackbird. We have them everywhere flying around in our districts. Currently I do more sports than hiking, and when I just roam around in our city districts, I shoot more common photos, like common birds, cats and stuff like that. Two days ago I was running again and was totally mad when I saw this grey heron with a fish between the beak. Of course I don’t have a camera with me when I go run. But maybe I shouldn’t complain, because I … Continue reading Common Blackbird

Beautiful Duck

I do already have quite a lot of duck photos, but I always like to take new ones because they are both, beautiful and a nice subject to practice and experiment with photography. Because most of the time they aren’t really hectic in the water, and that makes it possible to practice framing. In the case of the photo in my post, I tried to get a shot at eye level. I wasn’t really at eye level, I was standing on a bridge but with my Tamron 70-300mm lens, I can give the impression that I am at eye level … Continue reading Beautiful Duck
