In this post you can see a photo of cattle that I shot during the golden hour. I do really like this animal portrait, because the golden hour colours are cool and I do like the glowing ears and the fur detail. It’s one of those shots that I took out of boredom to take a photo at all, but at home I was surprised how good the photo looked. There was just minimal editing because the original image was already quite good, I just pushed the shadows, clarity and the contrast a bit and decreased the blacks. As almost everywhere near the coast, it’s also easy to find gulls near the German coast, for example herrings gulls. It’s however less likely that you will find a glaucous gull (Larus hyperboreus) here at the German coast, but that’s exactly what happened to me during a hike through the Schellbruch. I was wondering why the gull looked so different compared to other gulls and after researching I found out that it’s a less common gull. Not every photo comes with a happy story. When I did hike through a small forest in Reinfeld, I noticed a bird sound in the shrubs. I found the bird in the photo of this post close to me, I was surprised because the bird was just a few meters away from me and it did not fly away when I came closer. As I mentioned some time ago, there are still not enough horse photos on my blog. While I still have many that I didn’t upload yet, I am always happy if I find new horses and this happened today when I hiked through the Riesebusch in Bad Schwartau. I found two horses on a field located near the forest, and the white horse got my attention right away, as same as the horse noticed me.
