Hike Into The May

As I’ve been mainly in the city Lübeck the last two weeks, it was cool to see how things have grown in the nature of Reinfeld now that I am back for some weeks. Today was the first May, and I thought a hike into the May would be a nice idea. Look at the beautiful bushes in the photo, and all the blossom. This Cute Forest Dweller Did Let Me Take A Photo

My uncle survived the much feared brain surgery in the hospital, the time after the surgery was a bit difficult due to several post-operative symptoms, but now there is progress every day and I hope this will continue. It was a busy time for us all, so that I didn’t want to update my blog. Blurry Flying Gray Heron Photo

Here is yet another photo that I shot during my time in Reinfeld. I am back in Lübeck for a while, and I do already miss the morning hikes through the nature with all the birds, but it’s now more important to be close to the hospital. Talking about the photo in this post, I tried to take a picture when I saw this flying gray heron, and the result is not too bad, but sadly too blurry as I had to crop a lot. Eurasian Blue Tit On A Tree

I thought I share a photo of the Eurasian Blue Tit bird again. I shot the winter sometime during the winter. I have no idea why I shot the photo at 1/2000 of a second, maybe because I was outside to take photos of flying birds? But even then the camera setting would have been too fast. I am unhappy with the camera settings that I saw in the metadata and I wish I would have used other settings. The photo is shot at 300mm and I cropped the image to get even closer. Hidden Gray Heron

Sometimes when I walk around the pond called Herrenteich in Reinfeld, I see Gray Herons, it’s just not easy to take photos of them. The large pond is divided by a footbridge, and it separates the pond in two areas. So, one pond side is a natural reserve and walkers can only view it from the bridge and a couple of other spots, but overall the area is well shielded by plants and trees, and this is intentional so that the animals and nature is protected there.
