Finally Some Snowy Days

We had snow last week, the first time, but only for one day. But yesterday it started to snow again, and I went outside for a walk. I did take several pictures but most of them are not too interesting, but it was fun anyway. I mentioned it often, I like clean and fresh air, I like it cold. I have been outside for three or four hours today. I saw a lot of people outside, I think nobody expected a winter, and now that there is snow, people seemed happy about it. On the subject of expecting, I still … Continue reading Finally Some Snowy Days

Forest Path

Going through a forest is something very relaxing. Hearing nothing else than the branches and the wood in the wind, hearing the crows and many other birds and animals, that is absolutely enjoyable. I shot the photo above early in the morning when I was wandering around a pond. The trail led me through a forest on the other side of the pond.  If you take the trails where I am right now, you get a mixed view of fields, waters and forests. I am surprised how many birds there are, especially many little ones, but I had no luck … Continue reading Forest Path

Hike Through The Fog

I like the paths you can find in Reinfeld, but as mentioned, walking there is even more interesting when it’s misty, because it’s mysterious. Some people might dislike the wet air and would stay at home when it’s misty, but I do really love to go out, and then you can enjoy it all alone. I did maybe see three people there in one hour, one jogger, and two womans with their dogs, some people just like it, others not. We do sometimes have fog in the morning, but it doesn’t happen too often that there is fog all day … Continue reading Hike Through The Fog

Misty Path

Misty weather makes things look interesting and mysterious, I really like misty weather. We had it misty today, and that all day long. I grabbed my camera in the afternoon one hour before it gets dark, because I thought I could take some mysterious photos along one of the paths near a big pond. I shot several photos, but I really like the one you can see in this post. When my aunt saw the photo, she said “I wouldn’t have walked there in the mist, because it looks creepy”, and I laughed and replied “Well, I am glad you … Continue reading Misty Path

Finally It’s Cold

It took a while, but now it’s cold. We have sub-zero temperatures since three days. The winter comes late, but at least we have a little bit winter now. I was hiking a couple of times, I walked through forests, over fields and alongside the river, but yesterday I really had to abort my tour after two hours walking, because it was teeth-chattering cold. I like the fresh and clean air when it’s cold, but there is a change of thinking if you walk two hours outside at minus 10 degrees. Hot chocolate is the best drink after a winter … Continue reading Finally It’s Cold

My Blogging Concept And The Year 2015 In Review

So Many Raindrops If my blog would be a meadow, and my visitors raindrops, I’d say it rained a lot and the grass grew tall in 2015. My blog was viewed about 800,000 times in 2015 and I’d be surprised if the year 2014 wouldn’t have looked very similar with around 600,000 views. But when I look at the all-time statistics of 1,655,339 page loads, I am very surprised, because I started this blog as an outpost where I can drop some thoughts or where I can share some ideas or content I created, and the numbers are quite crunchy … Continue reading My Blogging Concept And The Year 2015 In Review
