Green Eyes
Here is a photo that I shot through a fence and it annoyed me that it was visible in the photo. So, instead, I used this cat photo to do experimental editing. I converted it to black and white and I thought I do something fun and add green eyes, which are of course fake but who wouldn’t have thought. I sometimes like to try less realistic things and did this several times in the past. For example, when my cat Shyna got golden eyes and blue eyes. Continue reading Green Eyes
Tufted Duck
I saw these ducks (they’re Tufted Ducks) in a pond a long time ago and shot a photo with my 70-300mm lens. It was still far away but the image was sharp enough to do hefty crop editing. I also made the water bluer because somehow I liked it. But what I like the most about the image is the reflection in the water. I hope you like the photo too. Continue reading Tufted Duck
Cyclist
Here is a photo of a cyclist. The colored version of the photo was fine but I liked it more in black and white. The cyclist was not completely in focus and that’s also why black and white works better. As I often preach, black and white will hide issues like soft focus if the problem is not too big. Continue reading Cyclist
Forest Path
Some of you might know, I love taking photos of beautiful paths I discovered during hikes, and I already uploaded quite a few photos of paths. So, at the top is a new one. At least a freshly uploaded photo because I actually shot the photo back then in 2016. The photo was taken when I walked through a forest in Reinfeld. It was a calm place surrounded by beautiful nature. I already uploaded a similar photo here. Continue reading Forest Path
Dandelion Close-Up
This close-up photo of a Dandelion plant wasn’t shot with a macro lens, I actually used my Tamron 70-300mm to take the photo. It’s a tele lens and the photo was shot at 300mm focal length, so, that’s basically what I’d call a pseudo-macro shot but it works too. I hope you like the photo. The plant is called Common Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale). By the way, by uploading the image I realized I photographed that plant already in 2014 and it’s funny when you find out how your photography changed with the years. Soap Bubbles Soft Focus
Saw this photo in my library and edited it a bit. It had a soft focus and I usually don’t like that but in this case, it looks very dreamy. I changed the colors a bit too. Continue reading Soap Bubbles Soft Focus
