I shot this photo in the garden. We have a lot of bumblebees in the garden due to all the flowers and plants. It would be a paradise for macro photography. Now I still need to work with the kit lens, it’s not optimal as I can not get very close to insects or flowers, because then I can’t focus anymore. Pigeons like to pose for a photo. Ok, I am kidding, most of them are just not afraid to cross the ways of us humans. That is why they are the ideal model for a photographer trying to master the first DSLR camera. They are not hurried, they give you time to take several photos. I like that. Didn’t see enough bird photos? Here is another one! The doves in the city are usually not really afraid of humans as they are used to them. The dove on the photo came pretty close to me, I zoomed in with the lens and I also cropped the outer area of the image to make the photo appear even more like a close-up shot. Today I did grab the photo gear again and went outside to take more photos. It will probably take months to upload all the photos of the first shooting but I went outside for the second big shooting anyway. Here I will show you one photo that I really like. It’s a close-up photo of a random plant branch that I found on my way when I was walking outside yesterday. I didn’t edit the image apart from resizing. There are no improvements made, this is basically how the photo came out of the camera. I really love the blurry background and that only the branch with the small blossoms are in focus.
