The State Of The Gaming Industry

There is one thing I have noticed in the last months, after reading through the big gaming online magazines. There are not much news at least not so much news than back at the time. There are also less articles about new games but one frequency has increased… articles about games like the Goat Simulator or about Flappy Bird and it´s creator or other nonsense. Why I write this? I thought it´s the perfect reflection of the condition of the gaming industry. This industry is dead and if not, this industry is short before imploding. It´s a nice portrait of … Continue reading The State Of The Gaming Industry

Battlefield 5 Beta Domain Bought By EA

There were rumors that Electronic Arts bought a new domain name for the Battlefield 5 Beta. The rumors came from a user of the NeoGAF forums. But maybe we shouldn´t call it rumors as it is not wrong that EA bought the domain. But it´s questionable if the intention was to link the domain to an upcoming Battlefield 5 beta website. The mentioned domain (battlefield5beta.com) was a scam and fake site since January and it might be that EA took the domain to prevent that another fraudulent person would register the domain again. The intention could be indeed to stop … Continue reading Battlefield 5 Beta Domain Bought By EA

Late but… Microsoft MS-DOS Is Now Open Source

I really have nice memories when I think about MS-DOS. Not that it is the first operating system I saw but it is an operating system that did escort me through my teenage. I remember when I sold my Amiga computer to get a PC. And at that time I had to learn about MS-DOS and I remind that I later installed the Norton Commander and this tool gave me a much better usability, while managing folders, installations and so on. However, I had to learn MS-DOS commands before and I did so. MS-DOS stands for Microsoft Disk Operating System … Continue reading Late but… Microsoft MS-DOS Is Now Open Source

EA Will Not Get The “Worst Company Of America” Title This Year

Electronic Arts has been voted out of the Comsumerist Worst Company of America Bracket. That means they won´t get the award the third time in a row. They are spared by the award this year. However, that does not mean that Electronic Arts isn´t an awful company. Only the fact that they were voted to be on the list and the fact that many people dislike the company policy of Electronic Arts, that should give them still a warning. EA frustrated a lot of customers with flawed products and so on. But right, it´s just about games and products and … Continue reading EA Will Not Get The “Worst Company Of America” Title This Year

And Again… Steam Servers Are Down

No joke, the Steam Servers are horrible at the moment. It happens every day that you can´t login to the Steam Cloud with the client and that you get the message “Could not connect to Steam network”. Sometimes it works and later it works not. I am not the only one with the problem. Users on Reddit reported as well that they have issues to log in. It really happens everyday at the moment. I am not sure whats wrong there. Are they constantly under DDoS attack or are the servers too busy to be able to handle the logged … Continue reading And Again… Steam Servers Are Down
