Tasty Salad


My mother made the salad in the photo at the top. The way it was prepares is kinda unusual. She basically grated the salad but it was an interesting and new experience to eat it like that. The ingredients were lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cucumber, and radish. Putting radish into it was unusual too as I’ve never seen someone in my family preparing it like that. But it was suggested by my mother and I agreed that we should try it out. And yes, it does fit. And it is another new salad photo in my collection on this blog. Continue reading Tasty Salad

Spaghetti


Just a snapshot of the Spaghetti dish that my mother prepared for us when I visited her one evening. It’s a very simple meal but I always liked Spaghetti. But who doesn’t? Rettich


This is incredibly tasty, we call it “Rettich” in Germany. I actually tried to translate it but found out it is called “radish” in English, which is strange. Why? Because it seems the same word is used for another type of vegetables, the one we call Radieschen. I have no clue why “Radieschen” and “Rettich” are both called “radish” in English. Bratwurst and Fried Potatoes


A couple of days ago I realized that I haven’t had Bratwurst for a long time. Arrived in the supermarket, I took a Thuringia Bratwurst package and went home.
