The Photo Alone Makes Me Hungry

It’s been some time, and I thought I should post something into my category of food photography again. Above you can see a photo that I shot some months ago. I just remember that I came back home after a long hike during very cold weather, and my aunt prepared this dish for us all. Nothing could be better than a warm dish, after a hike in the cold weather, and I was very happy when I saw that my aunt prepared potato croquettes with a delicious sauce, a nice steak and peas and roots. Some time passed after I … Continue reading The Photo Alone Makes Me Hungry

The Calmness In A Small Town

This is another post of the category advantages of a small town, and about myself. When I am in a bigger city, for example in my home town, I would never ever eat my breakfast in a bakery or coffee shop, I usually prefer to have my breakfast at home, and if that is not possible, I would rather eat my breakfast on my way. I don’t suffer from claustrophobia, but to be honest, the term is still perfect to explain the feelings I get if I am in a totally crowded room. That is however much different in the … Continue reading The Calmness In A Small Town

Weekly Photo Challenge: Vibrant

The theme of the recent WordPress Photo Challenge is about vibrant colors. I thought I would participate with a photo of a salad. I do not only like to eat salads, I do also like the colors of salads. I do usually add tomato, cucumber, lettuce and paprika to my salads, that means there are at least two vibrant colors, red and green, unless I add a paprika with a different colour like green or yellow. Potatoes With Cabbage, Sausage And Minced Meat

Talking about classical German dishes, I’d say potatoes with cabbage, sausage and minced meat is definitely on the list. If you would visit a German family for some weeks, the odds are that you will see this dish on the table, especially in the colder seasons. I think this is one of the dishes that we eat very often in the colder seasons, I don’t know why, it’s just something I noticed in my family. Boiled cabbage has one feature, it will remain hot for quite a long time as same as potatoes don’t cool down very fast. I do … Continue reading Potatoes With Cabbage, Sausage And Minced Meat

Mashed Potatoes With Spinach And Fried Eggs

I am pretty much sure I posted photos of this dish quite often on my blog, because it’s one of my favorite dishes. Mashed potatoes with spinach and fried eggs, that is a fairly simple dish, even an untalented cook like me can prepare it. I know a lot of people who use a convenience product, a potato puree powder, you just boil water up, then you mix in the powder and milk. But you can also make it on your own if you have more time, it does even taste better. To fry eggs, that is no rocket science … Continue reading Mashed Potatoes With Spinach And Fried Eggs

Tasty Vietnamese Fried Noodles

Something really bad happened (I’m just kidding). There is a new Vietnamese fast food restaurant in my neighborhood, that’s why I said something bad happened. Why bad? Well, I love asian dishes except the dishes that contain fish, but most of the asian fast food restaurants were that far away that the temptation was usually not too big to visit them regularly and I usually forget that they have a delivery service. But since there is a new Vietnamese restaurant just 400 meters away from me, it’s a problem, because now it just takes a small walk to get into … Continue reading Tasty Vietnamese Fried Noodles
