Bratwurst and Fried Potatoes

A couple of days ago I realized that I haven’t had Bratwurst for a long time. Arrived in the supermarket, I took a Thuringia Bratwurst package and went home. I wanted to eat it with fried potatoes because you know, I absolutely love fried potatoes. I added onions and pepper to the potatoes too. I also prepared gravy and done was the meal. And it was extremely delicious… Continue reading Bratwurst and Fried Potatoes

Fried Potatoes with Fried Eggs and a Green Beans Cream Sauce

I am cooking every day now as I rediscovered the benefits. Some days ago, I made fried potatoes with fried eggs and somehow I wanted to eat green beans too. Apart from many other sauces, I had this delicious cream sauce in my kitchen cupboard. I wondered if it would taste good if I just through the green beans into the sauce and did that. Damn, I remembered that my mother once did the same and I just rediscovered how fantastic this combination is. So, I ended up with a meal that I would call “Fried potatoes with fried eggs … Continue reading Fried Potatoes with Fried Eggs and a Green Beans Cream Sauce

Northern German Cuisine: Grünkohl

At the top, you see a photo of a very classical and traditional Northern German dish. It’s kale with fried potatoes, smoked pork chop, and smoked sausage. I’d argue if you ever been to Northern Germany during the cold days but didn’t eat “Grünkohl” (kale) as we call it, you absolutely didn’t experience Northern Germany. That’s because back in the days if you wanted fresh kale, you got it from autumn to March. Temperatures down … Continue reading Northern German Cuisine: Grünkohl

Delicious Meal

I didn’t upload food related photos for a while and thought I do this now. The picture in this post was shot with my mothers phone, and she prepared the food as well and we ate it together. I like roast potatoes a lot. This time we had some uncommon ingredients, like beans, onions and tomatoes. It’s at least uncommon with roast potatoes, because people either eat it with eggs, spinach or Spreewald gherkins and other variations. It was creative and tasty nonetheless. Fried Potatoes With Fried Eggs

Here is a photo of fried potatoes with fried eggs. I did probably mention it a tons of times on my blog, but this is one of my favorite dishes. It’s so simple to prepare, even a lazy cook like I am can do it, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t tasty. I do also like it with fried onions, then it’s extra delicious. Sometimes I also eat it with ketchup, but that totally depends on my mood (laugh). I bet my whole blog is already plastered with fried potato photos. Continue reading Fried Potatoes With Fried Eggs

Roast Potatoes With Omelet

I didn’t come up with any photos over the last days because I’ve been very busy with other things in my life. However, I thought I share a photo from my archives again. This time I want to show you a plate filled with tasty roast potatoes and an egg omelet. This is the type of food that was invented for lazy people like I am. You can’t cook faster, you maybe can, but this is one of the top 100 meals that are done in no time. It’s not only prepared fast, it’s super delicious. I wouldn’t wonder if … Continue reading Roast Potatoes With Omelet
