Here is a snapshot taken while driving through Thuringia. The snapshot was taken in 2011, that was the year I started my blog as you can see in my yearly archieves. How time flies. I am already blogging 9 years on this domain, it’s crazy when I think about it. Northern German Cuisine: Grünkohl


At the top, you see a photo of a very classical and traditional Northern German dish. It’s kale with fried potatoes, smoked pork chop, and smoked sausage. I’d argue if you ever been to Northern Germany during the cold days but didn’t eat “Grünkohl” (kale) as we call it, you absolutely didn’t experience Northern Germany. But as said, it’s a dish you’re more likely to find during the autumn and winter months here, that’s what we call “Grünkohlsaison” (kale season). Lübeck in Black and White


Here is an older photo. I shot this photo of Lübeck in 2013 with my Sony Xperia P phone. Honestly, the colored photo looked dull and I decided to try different black and white settings.
