Above you can see the dog of my cousin. I already uploaded several photos of her dog in the past but I still have some in my library. I pretty much liked the photo you can see above, and apart from cropping a few pixels there was minimal editing. I really like how the photo turned out. It was a bright August day but I took the photo in the shadow as you can see, and I think this worked pretty well. I wouldn’t go so far to say that I am an expert in photography, but over time you … Continue reading Beautiful Black Dog
Above you can see a portrait photo of Charlie, the dog of my mother. There was minimal editing with the photo. I thought the photo was pretty perfect. The only things I did was cropping a tiny bit of the top to remove what I would call “too much space”, and I added a bit of clarity and sharpness since this usually makes the fur of pets more present. I would still say this was a snapshot, because I remember that I spontaneously took the photo, but it’s a good snapshot in my opinion. But with pets that is easy, … Continue reading Charlie
I think it’s time to speak a bit of Dutch. Hemeltje lief! Ik heb wat gevonden, namelijk tien gulden de nederlandsche bank en een paar daalder. Ok, if any person from the Netherland read this, you have my excuse because it’s probably nonsense since I put the sentence together with a German to Dutch dictionary. On the other side, if we forget my basic grammar lessons in school, that’s exactly how I learned English over time. I just translated pieces of what was a big puzzle to me, the English language. So, see this post as my first attempt with … Continue reading Tien Gulden En Meer
Here is a snapshot that I shot sometime ago when I hiked somewhere between Timmendorfer Strand and Travemünde. I saw two swans playing in the Baltic Sea water. It’s both amazing, when they land or when they take off. I always though they are pretty playful, in Reinfeld for example I was standing on a bridge and some swans flew over my head as if they wanted to show their flying skills. This together with the white plumage makes them look majestic. There are more photos of swans on my blog if you like to see some other images. Continue reading Baltic Sea Swans
Above is a photo that I shot in the evening somewhere in a small forest area outside of Lübeck. This time I tried a black and white effect with decreased shadows and blacks. It’s a pretty dark image and I increased the brightness for a moment but then I went back to the darker setting. I just like it that way,it looks desolate and maybe even a bit creepy. I like the dark mood of the image. It somehow reminds me of old point-and-click adventure games I played on my Amiga back then and later on PC. They often made … Continue reading Dark Path
