Pigeon On A Street Light

Above is a shot that I took in 2016 when I saw this pigeon on a street light. I never really decided to upload it because I didn’t really like it due to some issues. But just out of boredom, I edited some of my older images today and decided to try out black and white. This did really hide some of the issues I saw with the image, for the example the fact that it had very boring colours. But as I said often on my blog, and as many other photographers featured out for themselves as well, black … Continue reading Pigeon On A Street Light

Grey Goose

I found this photo of a grey goose in my library. During the warm seasons it’s quite easy to find them. Outside of the city they are often on fields or near water. But also in the city it’s possible to find them, for example in parks or near ponds. I don’t have many photos of this bird species on my blog and thought I upload this one to my grey goose category. I do already have 112 posts in my birds category, it’s funny because when I started with photography, I did not expect that I would take so … Continue reading Grey Goose

Grey Heron Video And Photo

In this post I show you a photo of a grey heron (Ardea cinerea) again, but this time also a video as I basically promised in another post. Talking about the photo I must say that I am not happy with the quality, but often my 300mm lens is not enough and also in this case I had to crop heavily again. Anyway, photography is mainly about the subject and I am happy when I can get one of these shots, even if I have to crop. I also filmed the video with my 300mm lens, it’s a bit difficult … Continue reading Grey Heron Video And Photo

Common Blackbird Close-Up

Here is a photo of a common blackbird again. I could get quite close with my Tamron 70-300mm lens, but I cropped the image to get even closer. The image quality didn’t suffer too much, I like how it turned out. It’s interesting, because you would think they always look the same, and they basically do, but since I shot many photos of common blackbirds, I start to notice differences. Yeah, they are black, but the body shape is often very different, or the feather tone can vary or the length of the beak for example. The bird in the … Continue reading Common Blackbird Close-Up
