Beautiful Duck

I do already have quite a lot of duck photos, but I always like to take new ones because they are both, beautiful and a nice subject to practice and experiment with photography. Male Mallard

Here is a photo that I actually wanted to delete because the photo was extremely overexposed. But since I shot the photo in RAW format, I tried to take a look if I can improve the photo. Well, to be honest, the trick was to change the photo from colours to black and white, but I changed the shadow and highlight values before I did that, and I added contrast to the photo. A Tufted Duck

Here is a photo of a tufted duck (Aythya fuligula). The image is not that sharp because I had to crop heavily. But I wanted to show the tufted duck anyway because I believe that I never did so on my blog. But I guess the image is not too bad, you can see the subject well. I believe I have some better photos of this species somewhere in my library, I will upload them in the future if that is the case. The photo was taken near a pond called Herrenteich in Reinfeld.
