New Plant For The Living Room – Phoenix roebelenii

I found this nice palm that is called Phoenix roebelenii in one of the local stores. I only had one plant at home, you can’t see that one fully as it is the plant in the orange pot, but I really liked the Phoenix roebelenii that I found in the store and searched in the internet if this plant could be toxic and dangerous for pets. I found out that this plant is not listed as a dangerous plant for pets and went back to the store to buy the palm. I researched that this plant is also sometimes called … Continue reading New Plant For The Living Room – Phoenix roebelenii

Weekly Photo Challenge: Angular

It seems that I still don’t get email notifications for the weekly photo challenge and that means I don’t participate that often anymore because I miss this reminder. But today I saw other people publish images for this weeks challenge called angular. Well, what does angular mean to me? I think angular comes from the term angles and this means perspective to me. So, I looked in my folders if I have a photo where I did play with different perspectives and I found many. However, there was this one image that my mother shot and that she sent me … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Angular

Beautiful Water Drop On A Leaf

What do you think? Here is another image of the same scene… Continue reading Beautiful Water Drop On A Leaf

New Yellow Flower Photo

We had this flower in our garden and to me this flower looks beautiful. Some of the other same flowers are already dead. Not sure how much yellow flower photos I have already on my blog. Or flower photos in general, but there never can be enough. To be honest, they are good photo subjects because they are so beautiful on their own. It´s not really rocket science to create art with them. They are art. The original image was just pretty bleached and I had to push the colours a little bit with Photoshop. Continue reading New Yellow Flower Photo

Micro Biotope

This is a photo of moss and shoots in one of the flower boxes on my mother´s balcony. It´s very tiny and a wonder that my camera was able to take this scene but I´m quite unhappy because the picture is blurred where it shouldn´t be. I have no control about the focus with my point and shoot which is bad. But as mentioned several times, I will dig into macro photography when the time has come and when I have my money together for a decent DSLR or SLR. I really want to take photos of the tiny universe … Continue reading Micro Biotope
