Rock Balancing


I found those stones at the Baltic Sea while walking along the Brodtener Ufer steep coast (click the link because it’s such a nice place). Before that, I’ve never known that this is an actual activity. It’s called rock balancing as I have learned later. This place was full of balanced rocks. I wasn’t sure why they were all in one place. Balance


When I hiked along the beach between Travemünde and Timmendorf, I saw that many people had put stones over stones. I think it is called stone stacking. I’ve seen this somewhere while I browsed YouTube, but now this trend arrived here too. It’s maybe a good way to test your patience, but I also saw a video of a ranger in Australia, who said that this would be dangerous for certain animals. Parts of our coast are full of these stacked stones, I mean I saw hundreds of these stacked stones. Not sure what is so trendy about it. Continue reading Balance

Sea Spray


Here is a photo that I shot somewhere at the Baltic Coast in Germany. I saw these big stones that got washed by the sea spray. I like the sound of the waves, but I also like how you can smell wet stone, water and salt in the air when I am at the sea.
