Windows

I found the photo above in my library. This is one of many photos that I shot when I started out with my first DSLR camera. It’s somehow funny to see your own photos years later because then you try to understand why you took a particular picture. I think when you start out, you experiment a lot, that’s the first point. I think with this picture I experimented with the angle. I am also sure that I liked the windows, our historic district has some really cool and old-looking buildings. However, the original was rather boring, because the colours … Continue reading Windows

Broken Windows

As mentioned in my previous post, I am going to upload some photos of abandoned and damaged things over time too. I became curious when I saw a documentary about photography where they reported about a few guys who liked to visit old places to take pictures of abandoned architecture and textures of old materials. At a later point I met a photographer in a forest and we talked about our hobby and he showed me on his phone what he is into, it was mainly portrait photography and lost places. I liked his portrait work, but the photos he … Continue reading Broken Windows

Non-stop Installing

After I installed my new 2 TB hard drive, I started the Windows 7 installation to create partitions. I created two partitions on the new hard disk, one 100 GB in size as Windows partition, and I did set the remaining 1900 GB as secondary partition where I want to store huge programs and games, and very big folders of data, like my photo folders. After that I started to install Windows 7. The installation of Windows doesn’t take time, but I was already annoyed because the next steps would be more time-consuming. When Windows 7 was installed, I shut … Continue reading Non-stop Installing

Broken Glass

Broken, that is the motto of the recent Weekly Photo Challenge. I’d say there couldn’t be a better motto, because it’s just a week ago when I noticed a broken window glass in the stairways of the apartment complex where my grandma and grandpa live. I had my camera with me and shot a photo. Of course, we all dislike broken things, but broken glass can actually look pretty beautiful seen from the artistic perspective, but with that said I would now also call the landlord to fix it if I would live there. Anyway, I somewhat like the geometry … Continue reading Broken Glass

Nokia Phones With Android OS Will Be Shown Soon

This seems to be a good news. Nokia will show off a phone with Android installed soon according to VentureBeat. This would be the first Nokia smart phone with Android pre-installed. The code name for the new device is “Normandy” and the phone will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress this month on February 24, 2014 in Barcelona. It was not that Nokia had experimented with Android on their mobile phones before Microsoft bought the company. But it seems that Nokia still wants to realize the plans with the Android OS. That the Microsoft-owned company Nokia wants to install … Continue reading Nokia Phones With Android OS Will Be Shown Soon
