Spam comments and how you can avoid to let them come through

While Akismet does work already pretty good as a blog spam comment filter, it is sometimes necessary to drop some spam comments manually into the wordpress spam folder, so that Akismet can learn about new spam to filter out spam comment even better in the future. I´d say that Akismet can already filter out 95% of the junk comments but there are always some comments coming through, which I would call the 5% of the new blog spammers who are not in the list of Akismet´s database yet. So, today I discovered the RSS Reader, Feed Reader or News aggregator called Feedly. After testing Feedly I must say that it is really a good tool for syndication of web content. In my opinion it has a really great usability on both platforms… desktop via browser or on mobile devices via application. I used the same google account (there are also different methods) on both platforms. I still have a few other older blogs and last days I decided to export some good articles over to my main blog here. Mainly because the other blogs did not do well anymore anyway. And because there were a few articles which didn´t fit to the niches of the other blogs. But as I mentioned, the blog here is much broader so that many topics fit. This article here is really just a small hint for the bloggers under you. Be pretty careful if you reblog content from other blogs, especially if you don´t know the person who published the content. I tell you this as I have noticed something now several times… On WordPress.com you can find content thieves (No generalization… please read further). The thing is that you might reblog content from a person who has stolen the full text content from a well established bigger blog or magazine.
