As I mentioned in a previous post, I got a Huawei P20 Lite smartphone. I asked the store for a full cover protective glass and was pretty happy when they attached it because it isn’t visible at all. But I also wanted a book cover or flip case. I’m a purist or minimalist and don’t like it if things are too fancy. I prefer single-colored and simple designs and I found a cover that I like. In the post about the smartphone I mentioned that I might share a photo of the case too. So, here it is…
Good protection there. I often wonder how our new, ultra-thin phones survive bumps and drops. Remember those old nokias in the late 90s?? They were like tanks
Oh yes, I still remember when I got my first apprentice’s pay at that time… the very first thing I bought was a phone and I think it was the Nokia 3210. My friends thought I was insane when I opened beers with the Nokia 3210 but I was never concerned because only the cover got scratches from it but you could easily change the cover or shell of it. That was a running gag until too many people featured out that you can change the shell. So, yep, they were built like tanks… or, well, built like bottle openers lol 😀
Today’s phones look much more modern but you’re right, with that they’re also much more fragile, especially the big screens we have today. I got paranoid the first moment I had the Huawei in my hands. Absolutely wanted two different kinds of protections, the protective glass and the book cover.
Bottle openers! 2 in 1! Yeah the new phones are basically a thin sheet of glass housing fragile computer components
