Here is a photo of a Blue Peafowl (Pavo cristatus). I shot the photo in 2016 when I lived in Reinfeld for a while. The photo looks quite abstract, of course, because it’s a close-up photo of a quite eccentric-looking bird. The photo is not so sharp because it was shot directly through a wire fence and that is also why it looks a little bit foggy. But I still like the photo.
A beautiful bird, Dennis! Here, they are called a Peacock.
Cool 🙂 In Germany, we call them Pfau (singular) or Pfauen (plural). It’s funny because when I was a kid, I always thought the bird is called “V” because “Pfau” is exactly spoken like the letter “V”. 😀
They are great birds to photograph aren’t they with their bright colours and patterns?
Yes, they’re the best work of art life brought up 🙂
The first time I saw one in real was when I was 8 or maybe 9… we went to the zoo with our school. On the way out at the entrance, every one of us got a single feather (Thinking about it today, I hope the birds lost them and hopefully the zoo didn’t pick them). I brought it home and hung it up on the wall for a while.
