Keep Your Distance Human


Today I challenged myself again to take new cat photos. The garden areas are great for that. I already tried the same yesterday and I got a really nice close-up photo of a beautiful ginger cat. But that doesn’t always work because not all cats let you come close and my 70-300mm lens won’t help me either if I am too far away. Brexit Coin


A week ago I got a Euro coin back as change money and didn’t notice it right away, but at home I had to laugh when I realized someone attempted to stamp out the United Kingdom from the coin. So, I took my 40mm macro lens and shot a photo. The person had a funny idea but I don’t think that it was correctly executed as Ireland is stamped out as well and not just the United Kingdom. Feed The Cat


Here is an old photo of my cat from 2014. I fed my cat and took the photo with a point-and-shoot camera. Sadly the image was pretty blurry, but it was less apparent with different black and white presets, which is why I decided to use one. It’s not one of the greatest photos, but I also don’t like to delete my cat photos as these are memories too. But you definitely can find better photos of Shyna on my blog. Village in Thuringia


I went through the folders of point and shoot or smartphone images today and found the photo above. This was shot in a small village of Thuringia in 2011. The husband of my mother has family there. Sadly, his mother and father died a while ago, but his brother is still living there. I thought you might like the photo. I really don’t want to forget the old photos, which is why I upload older ones once in a while too, and many of them have either been shot with a smartphone or point-and-shoot camera as said.
