Here is another photo taken with my new Nikon 40mm Micro lens. It’s some time ago since I shot my last flower photos, because most of my lenses don’t do it well. Minimum focus distance was not really a big thing with my old point-and-shoot camera nor with my smartphone, that’s why I shot many photos of flowers back then. As I mentioned in my previous post, I have a new lens, the Nikon 40mm Micro. When the lens arrived, I couldn’t wait to unbox it and attached the lens immediately. I wondered what I could photograph first. I mainly want to use it for small things, and then I looked into my wallet and found some coins, 1 Euro and 50 cents. I purchased the AF-S DX Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G lens and got it today. Main reason is that I often noticed how I have difficulties to focus close with my other lenses. Because of the minimum focus distance, I couldn’t get up-close to smaller objects. I like to take photos of small things and sometimes I need product phots that fit to articles I write. This can be close-up photos of cables, plugs, logos on products and so on. Above is also one of my favorite meals. And it’s a simple one, which doesn’t mean that it isn’t tasty. It’s potato puree with spinach and fried eggs. A fairly cheap meal. I often eat this when I want to put more bank notes into my piggy bank than planned. And I don’t feel bad about it because as said, it’s delicious. I love eggs, and I love spinach and potatoes. I didn’t upload food related photos for a while and thought I do this now. The picture in this post was shot with my mothers phone, and she prepared the food as well and we ate it together. I like roast potatoes a lot. This time we had some uncommon ingredients, like beans, onions and tomatoes. It’s at least uncommon with roast potatoes, because people either eat it with eggs, spinach or Spreewald gherkins and other variations. It was creative and tasty nonetheless.
