Here is a photo that I like because of the perspective. I shot the flower photo somewhere in the garden areas in our district. We sometimes have very stormy seasons in Northern Germany. Definitely not as bad as in some US States or other places with brutal natural force, but weather also got stronger here over the years. We even had tornadoes destroying whole villages, or cutting patterns through forest areas. It’s still happening infrequently, but it isn’t unusual anymore. I’ve seen two tornadoes with my own eyes, but they’ve been small and disappeared. One was visible from our district but disappeared before it could cause any damage. I saw this bird swimming in the pond and I think it is a common moorhen. And it seems it got a fish, probably a common minnow or a gudgeon (gobio gobio). It’s funny because I actually didn’t notice the fish in the beak when I shot the photo, I noticed it at home. I had to crop the image a lot because the bird was too far away. A week ago I was roaming around in the garden area with my camera because I wanted to photograph birds, but then I saw something behind a fence in the scrub moving. It was the cat that you can see in the picture above. If the photo looks a bit cloudy, that’s effect due to the fact that I shot through a fence. But somehow this fits to the image. Here is a photo of my cat Shyna. She looks a bit cheeky on the photo, but in reality my camera was just set to faster shutter speed. She was drinking water, and with the fast shutter speed I could freeze the moment where she showed the tongue. However, I didn’t like the photo in colour since it somehow had a bit too much orange in it, which means I didn’t like the illumination in my room. Mixed salad, mixed post. Yeah, it’s great to have two reasons to create a blog post. First reason was that I found the image above in my library and I like the way how I cropped it.
