I am not sure why, but I like old things like abandoned houses. I converted the photo of this abandoned house to black and white, that’s how I liked the image more. I didn’t upload a lot of photos to my abandoned category, but I still have several photos of abandoned places in my library. Over time I will also fill this category of my blog with photos. This is a snapshot taken with the smartphone on a car trip in Wismar, a city in Eastern Germany. I had a hard time to find a nice scene for the Photo Challenge of this week with the motto Abandoned. I thought I would take photos of some abandoned buildings here in Lübeck. I found one photo in the folders of my computer and it was not a good looking photo but I thought I do edit it a bit. And I do believe the result is amazing. What do you think? I edited the image with an android app called “pixlr o’matic” on my Smart Phone. It´s a small app and you can´t compare it with Photoshop. However, the results of the nifty app is sometimes suprising. It is possible to choose between differend layers, lights and frames. It is fun to play with. The nature starts to reclaim this old train freight depot in my hometown. Behind the depot there are still active and maintained railway lines for passenger traffic and freight.
