Comment author must have a previously approved comment from now on…

I just changed the discussion settings on my blog. Comment authors must now have previously approved comments. All other comments will be hold in moderation queue. I changed that due to the fact that there is an increasing amount of silly spam comments. And if I write “silly” then I really mean silly. Not that only the spam comments are silly… the persons who write the comments or the bots are silly as well. It´s so obvious and so easy to expose those spam comments. Happy Anniversary with WordPress! Cool!

Yesterday when I logged in to my blog, I noticed a “Happy Anniversary” symbol in the WordPress header. It mentioned “Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!” and “You registered on WordPress.com 2 years ago! Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging!”. I am really amazed that I am on this blog here already for two years now. I checked out my archive and noticed that I started out pretty slowly the first months in 2011 but I became more interested in blogging 2012. My activity in 2013 looks already fine too. Did you know the “Top Posts & Pages” Widget? I never noticed it! Great Widget for Photography Blogs but not only!

I found something in the WordPress.com Dashboard under “Appearance” and then under “Widgets” which might me interesting for those WordPress.com Users who run their own Blog as a Photography Blog or for those who add Images to their own Blogposts very often. But also for those who just publish Text Content without Images. I found this nifty Widget called “Top Posts & Pages”. You can add it to your Sidebar on your Blog and it will basicly show your Top Posts. You can decide how many Top Blogposts or Top Photoposts the Widget should show. 1000 Likes on my Blog

Wow! I noticed the “1000 Likes” Achievement in the WordPress Topbar when I logged in! I never thought that I would get any or more then 100 likes. But now I got even 1000 likes of you all. Thank you so much. I started using WordPress Blog to write down my thoughts time by time. I later found all the other great Blogs and most of them added Photos to their Content so that I wanted to give it a try too. I bought a cheap Camera and made my first Photos.
