So, today I discovered the RSS Reader, Feed Reader or News aggregator called Feedly. After testing Feedly I must say that it is really a good tool for syndication of web content. In my opinion it has a really great usability on both platforms… desktop via browser or on mobile devices via application. I used the same google account (there are also different methods) on both platforms. This article here is really just a small hint for the bloggers under you. Be pretty careful if you reblog content from other blogs, especially if you don´t know the person who published the content. I tell you this as I have noticed something now several times… On WordPress.com you can find content thieves (No generalization… please read further). The thing is that you might reblog content from a person who has stolen the full text content from a well established bigger blog or magazine. Did you know the “Top Posts & Pages” Widget? I never noticed it! Great Widget for Photography Blogs but not only!

I found something in the WordPress.com Dashboard under “Appearance” and then under “Widgets” which might me interesting for those WordPress.com Users who run their own Blog as a Photography Blog or for those who add Images to their own Blogposts very often. But also for those who just publish Text Content without Images. I found this nifty Widget called “Top Posts & Pages”. You can add it to your Sidebar on your Blog and it will basicly show your Top Posts. You can decide how many Top Blogposts or Top Photoposts the Widget should show. Spam Comments in the WordPress Dashboard… Akismet works pretty great!

Today I was bored and thought I browse in the dashboard of my blog. I also browsed the section where you can find the comments which wasn´t approved by the comment spam filter called Akismet. If you host your blog for free on WordPress.com then you anyway have the tool installed. I am not sure how it is if you have hosted and installed WordPress on your own webserver. I guess you must install the tool then. I didn´t research and I also didn´t notice the Tool when I installed the WordPress CMS on my uncle’s webserver.
