Weekly Photo Challenge: Vibrant

The theme of the recent WordPress Photo Challenge is about vibrant colors. I thought I would participate with a photo of a salad. I do not only like to eat salads, I do also like the colors of salads. I do usually add tomato, cucumber, lettuce and paprika to my salads, that means there are at least two vibrant colors, red and green, unless I add a paprika with a different colour like green or yellow. Walnut Cake

It’s time to add a photo post to the category delicious or to the food photography category again. I spotted a quite big bakery in Reinfeld, and I was surprised because we don’t have such a big bakery in the bigger city Lübeck. Grandpa’s Birthday Cakes

Grandpa turned 75 today and we celebrated his birthday. The family came together again, and when I say again, then because there are several birthday’s of family members by the end of the year. His birthday is always the last in the year, after it there is only Christmas. So, we came together to talk, to enjoy the day together, and as always, to eat delicious cakes! Mashed Potatoes With Spinach And Fried Eggs

I am pretty much sure I posted photos of this dish quite often on my blog, because it’s one of my favorite dishes. Mashed potatoes with spinach and fried eggs, that is a fairly simple dish, even an untalented cook like me can prepare it. I know a lot of people who use a convenience product, a potato puree powder, you just boil water up, then you mix in the powder and milk. Grandma’s 72nd Birthday

Yesterday was grandma’s 72nd birthday, and of course the family celebrated it and sat together. The sister of my grandma did bake one delicious tart and one delicious cake, and grandma bought the third one in a store. The tart on the photo above is baked by her sister, it was a very delicious peach tart. We always agree, she knows how to bake tarts.
