It’s time to add a photo post to the category delicious or to the food photography category again. I spotted a quite big bakery in Reinfeld, and I was surprised because we don’t have such a big bakery in the bigger city Lübeck. But the bakery was near the Autobahn, it’s a good place for them, and it explains why the shop is so big. They had all kind of cakes, but I decided to purchase a walnut cake. The cake was really delicious, and when I was done with it, I hated myself for the decision to only purchase one walnut cake. But maybe it was pure reason.

It’s been for a couple of years. ALDI was alway selling it all the time but now local groceries and supermarkets are selling some different brands. They all come from Germany. Ginger cake covered with chocolate is very common now, too.
Now that you say this, I believe we had this talk a year ago on FB, you also mentioned that you saw gingerbread when I remember right 🙂 It’s fun to hear that some German stuff gets popular in other countries. It’s also interesting that you have ALDI over there 🙂 By the way, I love ginger cake!
