Good Day

I had sleep problems over the last weeks, that sometimes still happens but last night I slept very well. That means I woke up with much power and happiness. It’s a Sunday and I wanted to start the day slow but when I booted up the PC, I noticed the date and it came into my mind that it is election day. I am talking about the elections to the city-state parliament of Lübeck. So, I looked for the polling paper and found it near the TV. After breakfast and shower, I shut the PC down and went outside to … Continue reading Good Day

The Guitar Store Problem

I am in the market for a new e-guitar since I am tired of my own. My guitar did a good service for that price but there are definitely much better guitars out there. When I wanted to play a great guitar, I borrowed the Fender 70`s American Standard Stratocaster of my grandpa and I really loved it. Sadly my grandpa had to sell this guitar so that this is no option anymore. Back then I played different Strats (as people call them too) in music stores, I developed a love for Strats with vintage pickups or vintage hardware in … Continue reading The Guitar Store Problem

Asking you… Do you prefer nested or non-nested chronological comment discussion settings on a blog?

I did set up my blog so that comments and discussions can be nested. But at the moment I ask myself if I should go back to the normal settings which do not allow nested comments. The problems I see with nested comments is that you have to set up how deep discussions are allowed to be nested and if you set it up that it allows 3 or 5 levels of nested discussion, the conversation between the people can stop abrupt as people think that it does not make sense to reply to a person if the last level … Continue reading Asking you… Do you prefer nested or non-nested chronological comment discussion settings on a blog?

Daily Prompt: P.C.

The Daily Prompt asked: “Is political correctness a useful concept, or does it stifle honest discussion?” and I must say that the answer is for me clear. Political Correctness (which is by the way a huge problem in Germany at the moment) does stifle honest discussion and it does also suppress opinions. Political correctness always reminds me to a dictatorship. Yes I do say it clear here. I truly see similarities. Political correctness is if a ruling party in your country is telling you every time if you do think different, your are bad. This is happening through the ruling … Continue reading Daily Prompt: P.C.

Comment author must have a previously approved comment from now on…

I just changed the discussion settings on my blog. Comment authors must now have previously approved comments. All other comments will be hold in moderation queue. I changed that due to the fact that there is an increasing amount of silly spam comments. And if I write “silly” then I really mean silly. Not that only the spam comments are silly… the persons who write the comments or the bots are silly as well. It´s so obvious and so easy to expose those spam comments. That´s why I will work with a moderation queue from this time on. Continue reading Comment author must have a previously approved comment from now on…

Two Person and two differend Ways to put Mustard on the Sausage

The husband of my mother and me were hungry when we visited Travemünde. But my Mom was not hungry. So her husband and me decided to buy a typical german sausage bun with mustard. But we had to put the mustard on the sausage bun and after we done that, we noticed a difference… This is the sausage bun of him… And this is my bun… We really had to laugh a lot. There was this discussion if the differend ways we put mustard on our sausage does say anything about us,… especially about me? What do you mean?
