Twitter At-Replies Will Be Phased Out Soon.


Vivian Schiller, head of news at Twitter, mentioned during the Newspaper Association of America’s mediaXchange conference, that they work on methods to move the @replies to the background. They do still test different methods but it looks like they would replace it just with the way how it works on Facebook. Instead of using the at-sign to reply to a user, you can use the user names there. This is probably the way how it will work on Twitter soon too. Check out the more detailed news on BuzzFeed. It´s a trend to boil up games of the good old days and it wouldn´t be bad but the ingredients are tasteless. Developers of today love it easy. I mentioned it already in an earlier article but I couldn´t talk about fact apart from the perceived shift in my circles. I said that many people bought the Threema app to replace the by Facebook acquired messenger WhatsApp. The Swiss startup Threema promises that it´s messenger app offers real end-to-end encryption and therefore real security and privacy.
