Above is a minimalist snapshot, not a very busy photo but I sometimes like these scenes where there is less in the picture. Above you can see a photo that I shot with my smartphone a long time ago. I made some adjustment and like the artificial or painted look. The photo was taken in Salem near Ratzeburg, a very beautiful place here in Northern Germany as you can see here. Above you can see a photo that I shot outside of Lübeck, to be more exact around Bad Schwartau. I liked the landscape, the tree, the field and the little hunting outpost that is visible. However, the resulting photo was bad because there was too much haze in the photo. A bit of haze is good but this was too much and made the image look kinda flat and I didn’t want to use a digital de-haze filter because I thought a black and white effect could look good. The recent WordPress Photo Challenge is about ambience, and I thought one of the photos that I shot during a hike through the Schellbruch area in Lübeck would fit. I shot the photo during golden hour time and everything appeared orange and red. But to be honest, I even boosted this a bit further with Lightroom and Color Efex Pro 4.
