Above is a photo that I shot somewhere in Lübeck during my hikes. I like the image because it’s somehow framed on a minimalist way. It’s just the beautiful green field in the foreground and a village or district in the background. It’s maybe the line that divides both that makes me like the image. The sky was almost plain blue, but I edited it on a way that you can see the clouds because the plain color was boring. Black And White Landscape Photo

Above you can see a photo that I shot outside of Lübeck, to be more exact around Bad Schwartau. I liked the landscape, the tree, the field and the little hunting outpost that is visible. However, the resulting photo was bad because there was too much haze in the photo. A bit of haze is good but this was too much and made the image look kinda flat and I didn’t want to use a digital de-haze filter because I thought a black and white effect could look good. Here is a photo that I shot in May 2015, oh how time flies. The photo was shot one month after I got my first DSLR. At that time I pressed the shutter button like a crazy person, because all that was so new to me and I wanted try this camera, to learn how it works. Reinfeld Landscape Retro Photo

I found one photo in my library that I shot in Reinfeld, and I was quite happy with the landscape scene but not with the overall quality of the image. I wondered if I could still create something with it, and I got the idea that I could try some of the retro effects of Silver Efex Pro 2. Retro photos don’t appear in good quality, but there is something fascinating about old photos which makes them look great. Bad Schwartau Landscape

Here is a random snapshot that I took during my hike through Bad Schwartau. The day was cold and it was quite foggy, but I removed the haze in Photoshop as it was too much. The sky looked boring even after decreasing haze, and I came up with the idea to add a gradual filter to make the sky look darker, as if there would be an upcoming storm or something. I think the image doesn’t look too bad now, there is something I like about it, I think I like that it looks like there is upcoming bad weather. Continue reading Bad Schwartau Landscape
