Be Careful Near The Edge

Funny title, right? It’s yet again another photo post and I had no idea what kind of title I could use and came up with this. So, be careful if you stand near the edge of a cliff! I shot the photo near Lübeck, to be more exact between Travemünde and Timmendorfer Strand at the Brodtener cliff coast. This is at the baltic sea and a very beautiful place. The original photo looked more flat, but I extracted lots of details and messed around with the tone values until I liked it. Continue reading Be Careful Near The Edge

Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflecting

I forgot to participate in the last photo challenges because it seems they moved the day from Friday to Wednesday. Also I was quite a bit lazy over the last months and followed other hobbies like PC gaming. Anyway, I thought I participate again. This time the challenge is about reflection again, this seems to be a theme once in a year. During one of my hikes in the past, I saw a silver ball on a table at a front yard of a house and shot the photo in this post. I had no real reason to upload it, … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflecting

Beautiful Moss

Except for Christmas decorations and so, there is not much colour in the season. I went through the city today and then I saw this moss growing over a wall. I like moss, I liked the underwater moss in my fish tanks, but normal moss is beautiful too. I was happy to find something green today, and I used my 50mm lens wide open because I wanted to get a very blurry background and a focus on the moss. I hope you like this photo, it’s a minimalistic photo I guess. Continue reading Beautiful Moss

Tractor Tracks

Sometimes I really like minimalism in photography. You can take photos where there are tons of things in the scene, and most often it can be very interesting, but sometimes there are also scenes that are beautiful because there is less. When I look at the image above, I remember that I liked the green colour of the field, and I liked it how the tractor tracks acted like leading lines, that made my eyes move from the bottom of the field to the top, and the other way around. When it comes to colours, there is just blue, green … Continue reading Tractor Tracks

Minimalist Field Photo

As I mentioned in earlier posts, here in Reinfeld there are lots of fields and some farms, and by the way, the German word “feld” translates to “field” in English. I shot the photo above during one of my hikes, but I did edit the photo a little bit afterwards. The heaven was too bright, and that has to do with the fact that I recently started to try the manual modes of my camera, which means I often use the wrong settings, but that is practicing, and sometimes I can change things afterwards with Lightroom or Photoshop, and that’s … Continue reading Minimalist Field Photo
