Minimalist Field Photo
As I mentioned in earlier posts, here in Reinfeld there are lots of fields and some farms, and by the way, the German word “feld” translates to “field” in English. I shot the photo above during one of my hikes, but I did edit the photo a little bit afterwards. The heaven was too bright, and that has to do with the fact that I recently started to try the manual modes of my camera, which means I often use the wrong settings, but that is practicing, and sometimes I can change things afterwards with Lightroom or Photoshop, and that’s what I did here.
I loaded the image up with Lightroom, because I wanted to give the heaven a darker mood. I did change the temperature a little bit, I reduced the whites and the highlights, and I made some exposure, colour and contrast adjustments in that area. For the field, I just added a little bit vibrance, that made the field pop more out, and it also made it look more green. I believe the result is fine and makes the minimalist photo look interesting and moody anyhow, because the original image was not too interesting and there were some issues with the heaven and with the trees.
