Here is a photo that I shot when my mother prepared chili pepper salad. Someone from Tunisia inspired my mother to cook it as well and since then we’re enjoying the dish once in a while. It’s not for weak people because the salad contains quite a lot of chili peppers. Apart from that, sliced paprikas, tomatoes, garlic, and onions are used too. It all goes into the pan where it is gently roasted and spiced with salt and pepper. When it’s finished, my mother puts it in a salad chopper. After that, it goes into a bowl with a … Continue reading Chili Pepper Salad
Like a month ago, I went into a Chinese Mongolian restaurant again. We decided for the buffet again. I didn’t photograph my first plate as I was hungry and as I filled it diversely to the point that it looked like a mess. But I made more efforts with my second plate and made it look good. I decided for curry rice, a delicious sauce with onions, paprika and string beans and I think it was turkey meat. And mushrooms! I can’t tell you how much I like mushrooms. We sat there for 3 hours again and had a fun … Continue reading Chinese Buffet
The theme of the recent WordPress Photo Challenge is about vibrant colors. I thought I would participate with a photo of a salad. I do not only like to eat salads, I do also like the colors of salads. I do usually add tomato, cucumber, lettuce and paprika to my salads, that means there are at least two vibrant colors, red and green, unless I add a paprika with a different colour like green or yellow. I am not one of those who can conjure the greatest dishes in the kitchen. What I mean is that I don’t really know how this and that is done, which means the list of dishes that I can cook is rather small. Apart from that I am too lazy to cook and too lazy to learn other dishes or new things. However, the dishes I can cook, they are perfect, and I know, self-praise is no recommendation. But there are moments when you think you have outdone yourself. Today it happened again, that’s why I am excited right now. … Continue reading My Special Pasta Bolognese
Above you can see another dish that the husband of my mother did cook. The ingredients are potatos, beef, paprika, carrots, onions, red cabbage and sauce. I love that so much. The onions, the paprika and the carrots are made together with the sauce. The secret here is that the flavors of the ingredients go directly into the sauce. If I visit them and if we eat that meal, I usually ask for extra carrots on my plate because I love cooked carrots so much. What you see on the image, is typical german cuisine. Very hefty and extremely tasty! Continue reading Hefty And Tasty German Cuisine… Looks Tempting?
Above you can see beef with potatoes, paprika, sprouts and a tasty sauce. The mother of my husband did cook it some time ago but the image is a little bit older. I still have so many photos here, and I want to save them on my blog, for the future. The husband of my mother is not a cook by profession but he is anyway a very good cook but specialized in german cuisine. I always said to him, he should open a restaurant because his dishes are so delicious but well, he has already a job and he … Continue reading Yet Again Another German Dish
