Chicken Close-Up

I mentioned already a few times that my mother and her husband hold several chickens in their garden. I like the chickens a lot, they are really funny and they have their own big lawn where they will follow you everywhere if they trust you. That’s not only funny and cute, they do also make great photo subjects. I usually photographed them fully but this time I tried to take a close-up photo. I hope you like the picture. Bee On A Yellow Plant

I find it quite difficult to take close-up shots of small insects with my 18-105mm kit lens. Mainly because it’s not a macro lens and because the minimum focus distance of 0.45 meters, but I definitely learned how to get around it and how to take decent close-up photos with the Nikon 18-105mm kit lens without additional equipment. Tuxedo Beauty

I always like to take photos with my cat, and I think the one I show you with this post is really cool as it is basically a close-up portrait. She likes to hop on chairs, and I have this kitchen chair where she can go all crazy, because it’s just an old one, the fabric is very solid and everything else is metal anyway.
