White-Tailed Eagle Far Above Me

Today I had a bit of luck again and I found an eagle. I started my hike at the Schellbruch Area, and then I saw the White-tailed eagle far above me that you can see in the photo of this post. I do already have a lot of experience to spot them in the heaven as I saw them many times. The big problem is that they often fly at a high altitude, but they fly or glide very slow. So, it’s easy to find out if it’s the White-tailed eagle, but it’s pretty difficult to take the photo because … Continue reading White-Tailed Eagle Far Above Me

I’m Watching You

Here is yet again a photo of my cat Shyna, because there are not enough photos of her on my blog, and of course I’m kidding. The photo is not of greatest quality, but I like the scene a lot. My cat has always an eye on me, she takes care about me. Because I know that, I thought I would take a look behind one of my curtains, but the fur monster did already expect that. I had to laugh when a friend once said he would feel like being observed, while my cat sat in the corner and … Continue reading I’m Watching You

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fun

This Friday, the WordPress Photo Challenge is about fun. I’d like to show off a photo that I shot last summer. I met my uncle outside and he had one of his dogs with him, and I was new to DSLR photography and wanted to try some action shots. I wish we could hang out like that again, but his brain tumor … Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Fun

Weekly Photo Challenge: Morning

The recent WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge comes with the subject “morning”. I thought I participate with a photo that I shot at the harbor area in Lübeck near the Trave River. If you hike there in the morning, it’s a busy zone, unless you hike there on a calm sunday morning. I like the theme of morning photography, and I definitely should do this more often, because the colours in the morning are very interesting. Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Morning

Peacock Butterfly

Here is a photo of an European Peacock Butterfly (Aglais io). Not that I know a lot about butterflies, but I found the name during my Google search. It seems to be incredible easy to find the butterfly name, because there are hints with the colours and marks. Funnily enough, I had to take the photo with my 70-300mm Tamron lens that day, so you could say this is a pseudo-macro shot. I sadly still don’t own a real macro lens, but time will tell if I can afford one some day. Anyway, I can also do some funny things … Continue reading Peacock Butterfly
