Mom´s Birthday And The Family Meet Up

Yesterday on June 12, the whole family celebrated the birthday of my mother. My mom invited us all and she made cake. We call this “Kaffee und Kuchen” in Germany and it means “Coffee and Cake” because that´s what it is about. Meet each other, drinking coffee and eating cake, while it doesn´t mean that you have to drink coffee. Meetings like this one are just called this way here. Micro Biotope

This is a photo of moss and shoots in one of the flower boxes on my mother´s balcony. It´s very tiny and a wonder that my camera was able to take this scene but I´m quite unhappy because the picture is blurred where it shouldn´t be. I have no control about the focus with my point and shoot which is bad. But as mentioned several times, I will dig into macro photography when the time has come and when I have my money together for a decent DSLR or SLR. Anywhere Near The Trave River

I shot this image in Lübeck anywhere near the Trave River that flows through our city. The water you see on the photo is a branch of the main river. I walk there sometimes because you can find insects and flowers there and in summer I also jog and walk there as many people do. More Flowers For The Blog

It´s that time, flowers everywhere, also on my blog. I found the flowers above on grandma´s campground weeks ago and liked them so that I had to take a photo. I think purple really fits together with white. Both flower colours work well together in this arrangement. Grandma has several beautiful plants places on her place.
