Evening Stroll
Today in the evening I felt like I needed to take a walk. It was raining a lot in the last weeks but today only for a few hours. So, I thought it might be a chance to get some … Continue reading Evening Stroll

Here is just a snapshot I took today. I played guitar for three hours in the afternoon and then I did put it on the couch because I needed a break. When I saw my cat near the Telecaster, I grabbed my camera and took a snapshot. Due to the dull artificial living room lighting, I decided to convert the image to black and white and I like this more. I hope you like the image. Continue reading Cat and Guitar
Here is a photo that I thought would be bad too but when converted to black and white, it looked quite interesting. Seeing the flying rook from the side in just black and white reminds me of logos. I mean, the rook from side view would actually work well as a minimized logo element and I bet I’ve seen something similar in logos, either in logos of PC games or logos of movie or game companies. I just don’t know where I’ve seen that, but I am pretty sure I did. Also, I must say I like pictures where you … Continue reading Rook in Black and White

But that does somehow look good in black and white, because it’s like the movement of the cyclists becomes visible. I also like the lighting in black and white. You can find other photos on my blog that I shot in … Continue reading Busy Streets in the Evening
Here is a cityscape I shot a while ago. Of course, it is my hometown Lübeck. There is also the St. Mary’s church visible in the picture, as same as the Trave river. Some of the harbor buildings are now used for amusement, like the peninsular on the right side where people celebrate events, watch soccer or concerts. Continue reading Lübeck Picture
Here is another photo that is already 5 years old. I like abandoned places or lost places but we don’t have too many of those places in our city, which is why I don’t take these photos regularly. The building I photographed looked quite spooky and I am glad that I took photos of it because they demolished the building one or two years ago. But up to this day they didn’t build something new there, it’s now basically an empty lot. There is another photo of this building on my blog. Continue reading Spooky Abandoned Place
