Snapshot: Abandoned Building In Wismar

This is a snapshot taken with the smartphone on a car trip in Wismar, a city in Eastern Germany. I like abandoned buildings, this would be a nice place to take lots of texture photos with the DSLR camera, or usual abandoned architecture photos. I like urban photography and abandoned stuff. We have some abandoned buildings in Lübeck too, I did already visit some places to take photos, I just didn’t have the time yet to choose the best urban photos, to edit them and to upload them to my blog, but I will do that as I like photos … Continue reading Snapshot: Abandoned Building In Wismar

Eating In Our Favorite Restaurant

Today we decided to drive to our favorite restaurants. I took some low quality snapshots with my phone of the dishes we ordered. My mother ordered a burger and french fries, her husband decided for escalope chasseur and I did want a gyros dish with french fries. We did end up trading our stuff with each other, everyone did at least try some of the things from the other plates because everything was super delicious. This is really a good restaurant, they offer great stuff since decades. Continue reading Eating In Our Favorite Restaurant

Small Update About The Chickens And A Snapshot

As I mentioned some time ago, the husband of my mother constructed a henhouse in the garden and he does now rent neighboring garden parcel as well in addition to our own parcel. So, a half of the second parcel is set up for the chickens as outdoor enclosure, the other half will be used for something else. He wanted to have Sussex chicken, basically just because someone offered Sussex chickens for cheap but this offer doesn’t count anymore, the chickens were either too young or too old, that’s what I heard some weeks ago when I remember right. Then … Continue reading Small Update About The Chickens And A Snapshot

No Luck With Flying Birds

The photo above is rather experimental, nothing I am proud about. I try to take photos of flying birds, but I had not much luck. The photo above is one of my earliest attempts to freeze a flying bird on a photo. As you can see, the bird is not in focus and way too blurry. I have some other new photos where I had more luck, I might upload them too. I also do start to understand what I do wrong, and I learned some new things about my camera. Of course I will need fast shutter speed for … Continue reading No Luck With Flying Birds

Neighbors Cat

It’s that time again and people let their cats out as it is now a little bit warmer. We have some other very beautiful cats in the neighborhood. My cat Shyna is a house cat, but she has the perfect view near the window to watch all the other cats. On the photo above you can see one of the neighbor cats sitting in a hollow of a parking garage. I opened my windows and shot the photo, it’s not too bad with the 105mm kit lens, but in this case and also in the case of shooting birds I … Continue reading Neighbors Cat

Weekly Photo Challenge: Blur

I didn’t participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge anymore for a while. The latest challenge came with the motto blur and I didn’t really have to offer any picture. But yesterday my family and me were bored and we decided to go on a trip and my mother took a photo with her phone through the front window of the car and the result was a dark and blurry photo that might fit to the recent photo challenge… Continue reading Weekly Photo Challenge: Blur
